Open Source Election Technology Solutions

There are few providers of electronic election components and software. Until we have an open source software for all the states that share the same programming, cost for these products are inflated for the states. The proprietary nature of the programs they are using are secret and not easily verified. The cost of updates and certification are inconsistent and not audit-able by an outside entity. Open source solutions however can reduce costs, streamline verification and save considerable costs for the states.
