Elections stand at the fulcrum of a contest for control over our way of life – they are the pivot point where outcomes between winners and losers are determined. A heated debate over the fraud risks posed by mail-in ballots has raged, following on the heels of four years in which a slew of allegations and investigations into foreign meddling and Russian collusion was unceasing.Now new research shows that perhaps those concerns are a mere shadow of the most pressing threat to the sanctity of America's elections and the true value of our votes.

State election systems were not designed to protect states from the growing onslaught of distant hackers and fraudsters located in Bombay, Moscow, Shanghai, San Francisco or anywhere on Earth with access to the internet. Even as the craft of fraudsters advances rapidly, spurred by prospects of huge profits and power to be had as spoils of manipulated election outcomes, our decades-old elections systems constitute an invitation.

To the extent Americans in civil society maintain strong local communities and networks of trust – and to the extent Americans insist on accountability – the dangers of election fraud diminish. This site lays the groundwork for thinking about the specifics of threats and the specifics of the solutions that we urgently need to survive as a free country.

Delving Deep, State by State

In the face of the fog controversy, we needed clarity from facts. To our knowledge nobody ever looked "under the hood" at states to assess both state and national vulnerability. Our internet research group took a deep dive into all fifty states to examine the security of current voting systems from top to bottom. They uncovered a mountain of vulnerabilities in everything from electronic voting machines to voter registration databases.

This research, verifiable by links to original sources, shows America's election systems to be so wide open to fraud as to demand urgent attention and solutions. Simply put, the voting systems throughout the United States are not secure.Bad actors in government, business and technology have corrupted them. Your vote can be made meaningless no matter where you reside.

The handful of examples below paint a picture of bureaucratic and technical sloppiness along with sheer rank amateurism and industrial scale incompetence. Some of what was found can only be described as a willful, coordinated and treasonous effort to leave back doors open and provide loopholes for domestic and foreign enemies of freedom.

Additional State Information

The Washington State Government leaks every single voter absentee ballot barcode along with voter name, address, precinct, registration date and voter ID number even though these data are known to be extremely sensitive and private – they can be sold on a black market and exploited a number of ways. For example, sifting through the numbers one can change digits of the ID to see who has not registered. This is a disastrous leak as it allows unlimited levels of foul play via social engineering.

In Nevada since May 2020 a 'technical issue' led to Republican voters having their party affiliation changed to Democrat, with some being de-registered entirely.

The barcode, ID number and personal details are a gold mine to our enemies. To access the Nevada Voter portal, you only need the name, dob, Nevada driver license number and the last four digits of a social security number – details that can be obtained from multiple sources. With access to an individual portal you can verify, edit and even cancel voter information.

The state brushed this off as a glitch, a glitch that only de-registered Republicans. The state's voter portal is hackable – anyone with skills and bad intentions can access and de-register a voter in Nevada. FIFTEEN states have an easy-to-hack voter portal –15 states share individual private information with the world. You can be de-registered, have your party affiliation changed – and your address can be changed so your mail-in ballot goes elsewhere to be filled out by someone else.

Foreign Influence

Foreign influence from where? Not exactly any country – Venezuela, China, and Russia are all involved. LA County awarded a little-known voting machine company named Smartmatic a contract in 2018. Smartmatic was founded in Venezuela by Antonio Mugica and originally provided machines that re-elected ex-president Hugo Chavez. Chavez cash was linked to Smartmatic. The LA contract also included a company named Flex Ltd.Flex is a Singapore company with 19 factories in China, essentially the voting hardware for LA was built in China.

Maryland awarded a contract to Bytegrid to manage its voter registration. In 2018 the FBI informed the Governor that the company, since 2015, was financed by a Russian oligarch close to Vladimir Putin.Several discrepancies with election ballots occurred prior to the 2016 election. Machines in Los Angeles created in Venezuela and built in China. Maryland voter registration software funded by Putin oligarch.

Chain of Custody - and Ballot Harvesting?

A Philadelphia rapper's music producer gets paid to haul sensitive official voting machines across Philadelphia. Always Moving is paid to haul voting machines across Philadelphia. The company, connected to music producer Kam Houff, has 2-10 employees and uses a contact email address with a domain name, pepsoul.com.

Philadelphia deployed a VotesWagon last year to collect mail-in ballots. In Pennsylvania there is no early voting. In 2019 Pennsylvania passed Act 77 to enable mail-in ballots. State law bans all types of ballot harvesting except for absentee ballots. These can be harvested only by a designated authorized representative of the voter who, due to illness or business reasons, cannot deliver and return his/her absentee ballot by himself.

Lack of Machine Competence

Minnesota State law prohibits internet connection, but their voting machines require modems to work, and modems connect to the internet. In Minnesota, no internet connection, including by modem, is permitted. Nevertheless, Minnesota uses ES&S Model 100 (precinct-based, voter-activated paper ballot counter and vote tabulator), ES&S DS200 (precinct-based ballot scanner and vote tabulator) and Knowink poll pads (used to check in registered voters and also to assist in the election day registration process) – all of which use modems. ES&S has about 80 percent of the United States voting machine business.

Almost half of the states use old, easy-to-hack voting machines. States have a mixture of old, uncertified, secondhand, no longer produced or maintained machines that run on outdated software. An 11-year-old girl hacked one in 10 minutes at a DEFCON conference.

Connecticut deploys 14-year-old secondhand voting machines this November.

Illinois machines are over 10 years old and not EAC certified

Kentucky machines are 15 years old and not EAC certified

Massachusetts machines are so outdated parts are no longer manufactured

Hackers can purchase identical machines, on eBay for example, and study them to identify vulnerabilities. Both physical and software patches are a must to prevent tampering and hacking. This is why you should replace laptops and most certainly update your software regularly.
