OHIO VOTERS PRIVATE DATA EXPOSED
OH voter’s residence exposed by submitting easily accessible login requirements
The State of Ohio provides an online application for users to check their voting status. This application requires voter’s name and last name, and County of registration. By submitting those, any user can then access a voter’s physical address as well as its polling location, precinct etc.
OHIO VOTERS DATABASE PUBLICLY EXPOSED
An unofficial website displays the State of Ohio voter’s database for free
An unofficial website that keeps updated almost up to date, offers OH voter’s database for free. Compromised data includes: voter’s ID, voter’s name, DOB, residential address, mailing address and voting history among others.
OLD VOTING EQUIPMENT IS AT RISK OF BEING HACKED
Voting equipment that has been demonstrated unsecure, can’t guarantee fair elections
The Ohio SOS website provides a permanently updated link with the voting systems used in its Counties. The link was updated in February 2020 but is broken, but it can be accessed via Google cache.
Although the Ohio Board of Voting Machine Examiners is working on certification for its latest voting systems, many of the voting machines used are old and outdated. Some counties are using the outdated and easily hackable AccuVote TSX. Others are using the long-discontinued ES&S M100 and AutoMark, with well-known security flaws. Others are using Ivotronic from ES&S, which has been reported to have security flaws that can affect the voting totals.
