WA COUNTIES USING TWENTY-YEAR-OLD VOTING EQUIPMENT
It is essential equipment is kept up to date to avoid erratic events and hacking
The general Election in Washington State will be conducted by mail but voting machines are still required to tabulate the votes. WA Counties choose their voting equipment from the systems certified by the Elections Division. As for Yakima and Jefferson Counties, they use extremely old voting machines. In particular, Yakima County uses scanners (Ballot Now) that have been replaced by at least 22 WA Counties over time. Complaints began 15 years ago as these scanners weren’t HAVA compliant as the error rate vastly surpassed the permitted level.

SECRETARY OF STATE FINDS 142 SUSPECTED CASES OF VOTER FRAUD
The SOS sent suspected cases of improper voting to election officials
It took two years for the Secretary of State to identify 142 suspected voter fraud cases in the 2018 general election. The election officials asked that the cases be turned over to prosecutors and county sheriffs to investigate, causing further delays in any charges being filed. The cases involve individuals as possibly voting more than once or voting for someone else.
